Why is an additional tax on the tourist tax (TATS) being introduced?
An additional tax of 34% on the amount of the tourist tax will supplement the financing of the project by having visitors and tourists accommodated in the areas served by the GPSO contribute to the creation of the service from which they benefit (improved accessibility of natural and heritage sites, development of the range of tourist services, improved accessibility for business, etc.). This ensures that the investment does not fall solely on the shoulders of the local taxpayer. It should be noted that it has also been introduced for the two other projects, the New Montpellier–Perpignan Line (LNMP) and the New Provence Côte-d’Azur Line (LNPCA).
