Our public institution took part in the inaugural general meeting of the association for the development of the Occitanie School of Rail and Mobility, held on 16 December in Pérols.
The aim is to provide more training in short-staffed and shortage occupations, particularly in the technical and managerial fields, by responding to a needs analysis presented by companies. The aim is to pool the needs and capacities of the industrial and training worlds, both initial and continuing, through a multi-site, multi-trade school in Occitanie, in order to fill future jobs in the rail industry. The sector is a priority in terms of mobility, with local LGV projects - the New South-West Line and the New Montpellier-Perpignan Line, Fine Regional Service Lines, Metropolitan Regional Express Services in Toulouse and Montpellier, etc.
The SGPSO is supporting this initiative, in particular to ensure that the 10,000 jobs expected to be created by the LNSO are an opportunity for local students and workers.
